Introduction and prices

Colin Montgomerie will launch this amazing Canary Wharf Spectacular on Monday 8th September, one week before the Ryder Cup 2008 at the Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, Kentucky. A very few golfers will have the opportunity to play the Floating Par-3 Championship in the heart of Canary Wharf as the Course will close on Friday 12th September.

The Floating Par-3 Course consists of three Tees - on water and land - and one large 380m² Floating Green creating three Par-3 golf holes ranging from 60 to 120 metres in length.  Players will access the floating Tees and Green by floating walkways.

Golf in the City is working with the world's top synthetic green companies and ball specialists to create a premium golfing experience.  The green will react and putt just like a Championship golf green.

The Golf in the City - Canary Wharf Championship

The main competition running throughout the week is the VIP Team Four-Ball Floating Par-3 Championship.  Four players will hit four balls off each of the three tees and each player will putt their best ball.  Each four-ball will have exclusive use of the Course for one hour.  Besides the Main Championship, a Nearest the Pin competition will run throughout the week and a magnificent prize will be awarded to the first Hole-in-One.

Additional Facilities

A VIP Lounge will be set up in the Official Tented Village in Montgomery Square.  There is a variety of other activities operating within this Tented Village.  There is a retail area for premium golf brands including Callaway, Taylormade and Yonex.  You may take golf lessons, use the golf simulators and benefit from professional club fitting.  For full details please visit www.golfinthecity.co.uk

Clients purchasing an hour on the Floating Par-3 Course will have access to the VIP Lounge and other facilities for one hour before their golf and a further hour after.

Other Options

For those companies or groups who wish to play this amazing course with more people we have devised two other possibilities:

- An internal 2 x Four Ball Competition involving eight players, each hitting two balls off each tee.  These teams would play against each other and not be entered in the main competition but each golfer would be eligible for the main Nearest the Pin and Hole-in-One Competitions.

- A Nearest the Pin Competition involving ten players, each hitting three balls off each tee but with no putting.  This is primarily an individual NTP competition against your fellow players but once again each golfer would be eligible for the main Nearest the Pin and Hole-in-One Competitions

In both cases the groups would have use of the Floating Course for one hour.
