Introduction and prices

The Nutcracker is a perennial Christmas favourite, packed with
magical moments of one of the greatest of classical ballets, all to
the sounds of one of Tchaikovsky’s most famously tuneful
scores. When young Clara’s favourite Christmas presents
– a nutcracker doll – comes to life, she is drawn into
magical adventures that lead from a battle with the Mouse King to
the Kingdom of Sweets. The fantasy is brought to vivid life through
Peter Wright’s reinterpretation of Lev Ivanov’s
choreography, and Julia Trevelyan Oman’s wonderfully
indulgent designs of late 19th-century grandeur, delicate in detail
and rich in colour.

Package options

The Balconies Restaurant opens with the House an hour and a half
before the curtain rises.

The ultimate complement to the very best in ballet and opera
with tables for dinner just a few paces from the auditorium on the
spectacular balconies. A two or three course meal served with the
buzz of the bar below and the amazing domed roof overhead. This
grand, majestic venue is ideally suited to business entertaining or
any other special occasion.

For a leisurely dinner we recommend you dine pre-performance,
have your starter and main courses and return to the same table at
the interval for your dessert.
